    Yes of faith but also of truth as well.  Because of out religious faith we accept certain things to be true.  Because God tells us they are in The Bible. Passages from The Bible can be used to support various political ideologies.  But certainly when I became a Christian I came to focus more on our individuality as God's Creation which led me to subscribe to a more conservative/freedom-oriented political ideology which stressed personal responsibility.
