The Founding Fathers were not imaginative enough to anticpate a King don whose iron grip rule is based on hate. What if they were?

What provisions would they have included in The Constitution to protect us from a despot dictator?

Impeachment is the mechanism that the FF created to deal with bad politicans......President Trump is in no danger of impeachment, he has done nothing worthy of it.

The Founding Fathers thought that no American generation could ever elect a man like Trump as president.

In their minds, the principles upon which they founded this country would never lead to the existence of the phenomenon know as the "Trump supporter"---they already had experience living under a despotic King.

Of course, they were principled men and could not envision develop the eventual lack of an informed electorate---who are still in the minority thankfully.

Alexis de Tocqueville wrote Democracy in America---a perceptive analysis of the political and social system of the United States in the early 19th century.

Not enough people living today studied that book.

First of all the Americans  that support King don DON'T READ. Secondly anything with the word "Democracy" in it is anathema to them. They have zero interest in the concept. All despotic dictator sucker uppers  sycophantic toadies have no use for it. The shocking thing is NOT the existence of such an evil corrupt nothingburger as the obesely rotund don juan. What shocks is that so many have an appetite for it and him. He is their cuppa tea in his absolutely evil entirety. Go figger!. Thank you for your reply tom and Happy Thursday! :) This post was edited by RosieG at June 28, 2018 2:41 AM MDT
