Do you prefer light bulbs or would you rather have an open flame lighting all your rooms at night?

We use LED lights everywhere

because I love to be able to see clearly and in detail

and because they save a huge amount of electricity,

good with a solar system.

We use candles for celebratory meals at special occasions.

I'll go with the light bulbs.

The only open flames in my house are pilot lights. 

Light bulbs have always been good enough for me. Open flame lighting is too much of a fire hazard.

Got a single, bare 620-watt incandescent bulb in each room. Seems to do the job.
