Decades ago cartoonist WALT KELLY (Pogo) was very prescient. "We has met the enemy and they is us"! How did he know about trump?

How did he know way back then about trump's worshipping adorers? He probably didn't anticipate them all being in bed with RUSSIAN AGENTS though. He probably didn't anticipate the number of traitors committing treason on behalf of one little man. He probably would not like it much.
