Putin speaks Russian and German fluently. He speaks and understands English. Why the need for/use of interpreters?

Da trump speaks only one language and is neither eloquent nor statesmanlike when he does. I guess Vlad had a better education than don.

    Putin's people are Russian, so he addresses them in Russian. Wit interpreters in a private meeting reduces cheating.

    How can you be so sure of that Ele? Couldn't the interpreters purposely misinterpret? How would we ever know because it was all done behind closed doors with no notes or record of what was said for TWO HOURS AND TEN MINUTES. What did Comrade trump agree to? We shall never know.
