"Creative Accounting" is illegal/criminal. Words matter. For example?

Paying out over $400,000 to a fixer(Michael Cohen) which was used as HUSH MONEY paid out to silence donjohn's multiple sex partners so they would not affect the outcome of a presidential election and calling it "LEGAL FEES" is illegal. It doesn't take a legal scholar to figure that one out. It's getting interestinger by the day. At the end when all the shouting is done how many ILLEGAL and CRIMINAL things will have been uncovered that was done by the donjohn crime family and its associates? Hundreds? Thousands? Countless?

Actually ... there is nothing illegal about voluntarily paying someone "hush money". (as opposed to extortion.)

What makes it illegal, is if they can prove it was done to influence the election.

Of course, the irony is how many Congress members have similar payments in their past.
Given the number of Congress members who have past histories of sexual harassment and/or assault.
I say ... expand the investigation to include EVERY elected official, and see how many we can lock up.

Please read the question again Walt. Hush money paid out to silence someone should not be listed as LEGAL FEES. That is TAX FRAUD and is illegal. Also it is said that the money came from the Trump Foundation which is itself under investigation for being a fraud. Buying off, paying off people so they remain silent for whatever tawdry disgusting evil reason if legal should be designated as such. It should NOT have come out of the alleged Trump charitable foundation NOR should it have come out of campaign contributions. It was done prevent the people from learning the truth. How can that be legal no matter what you call it? I'm gonna ask. Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :)

Since Trump hasn't released his tax filings, nobody has any idea whether they were claimed on his taxes or not.
Though I'm sure the IRS is taking a closer look at that filing, if they hadn't already audited it.  (If they had, they would have already demanded all the backup records for his deductions.)
