Was the perverted sexual abuse/assault/rape of children actually called "horseplay' by those who were protecting the evildoers? SERIOUSLY?

I'm not up to speed on the particular situation that you make reference to, but with the increase we've seen in sexual crimes, I thought I'd weigh in with a couple of observations. I remember what Will Rogers once said: "No matter how thin you slice it, it's still baloney". They can call it  whatever they like, but they know exactly what it is and what they're doing. When caught, these predators have dozens of excuses to try and explain away their depravity. Protecting and covering it all up, only serves to propagate and encourage the behavior. Sadly, we want the ability to have wide open, anything goes lifestyles and we want to act like we're appalled when the underbelly of society takes us up on it and does irreparable damage to our children. There's strong medicine for this but no one wants to take it. Until we make the protection of our kids a priority and stop trying to have it both ways with both "sanctuary" and prosecution, we'll go nowhere. We the people, have laid the cornerstone for a lot of this crap.  This is a mild response as I'm exercising restraint right now.
