WARNING! The shoe is going on the other foot on this one. Is it possible that donjohn has GOOD reasons for some of the tariffs?

He is just really lousy at explaining the details to us?

Here's why I ask.

Kevin O'Leary, a Canadian and one of the stars of the TV show "SHARK TANK" is currently on TV explaining IN DETAIL about the pros and cons of tariffs on milk powder to the Quebec portion of Canada and the Wisconsin dairy farmers who sell to them. This is one tiny little  fraction of the considerations facing Trudeau that we outsiders know nothing about because no one is taking the time to explain it. O'Leary seems VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE about this issue. Genius maybe. Why doesn't HE explain the details to we the people so we can understand better what's at stake?

    Trump is most often unable to articulate any of his policies, probably because they change from day to day  He gets a bee in his bonnet today and the bee flies away tomorrow.  He has the attention span of a goldfish and seems to rarely take into consideration the advice of his cabinet members unless they agree with what's on the top of his head at the moment.  

    There is a small part of me that hopes Canada doesn't cave in the NAFTA negotiations and I would like to see Congress grow a pair and let Trump know, in no uncertain terms, that the agreement was made trilaterally and that it needs to remain so.

    I was clearly reaching for the proverbial straw on this one L. The way O'Leary was explaining it showed how tricky and complex it is and how many parts are in play. It isn't a 10-piece puzzle. It's thousands of pieces. Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I'm pretty sure Canada will do the smart thing, the wise thing, the logical thing as they see it.
