Getting older is surprisingly better than I thought it would be. Of course I am very lucky. Are you lucky too?

There are fewer responsibilities and fewer people to answer to or please.
Which gives us older folks more freedom to do or not to do whatever we wanna do or not do.

We don't have to worry about how we're going to afford putting our kids through college or pleasing the boss or getting ahead or getting a raise or dealing with co-workers who are very "difficult". We are able to live an ad lib life for the most part. Few things are scheduled beyond medical appointments. Most everything else is fluid. If we don't do it today there is always tomorrow or next week or maybe we don't really want to do it all so we end up not doing it. All options are viable.  Anyway just thought I'd share those thoughts. When you're older you have a lot more time to share things with others. :)

  • I'll just say that I've been fortunate, as I don't place any belief in luck. There's been a lot of wear and tear on me and I've had a couple of close calls, but God has been merciful. I know that there are many who are in worse circumstances, so I suppose I'm doing very well for my age as I look around at the world. I can relate to your statement about few things being scheduled beyond medical appointments. I never thought I'd end up building a social life around doctors, nurses and pharmacies, but such is the case. Life is good and has its compensations at this time of the game so that we find satisfaction and comforts that are truly special. A good Tuesday to you and yours.
