Does anyone not adore Betty White? She started out in L.A. in the 50's I believe with her own TV Show. What do you like most about her?
As I recall I think the show was titled Life with Elizabeth although she may have appeared on other local shows too. I was young kid then but we used to watch early on.
She was just darling on those early programs some of which I have seen on DVD. Easy to see why she was popular. I was either too young or not born when those were on so all I knew about her were the later things she did which I never had any interest in. Life With Elizabeth which she produced herself and at the end of every show the announcer would come out and say "Now Elizabeth aren't you ashamed of yourself?" and she would smile impishly and shake her head and say "no" which was the cutest thing. She had a daytime show too where she sang then one late in the 1950s I think called The Betty White Show. What a long career she had. I guess she was on radio before TV.
