There is not only one reason to escape.

Sometimes the mind wanders anywhere but HERE.

    That is not healthy.

Sometimes a mind wanders pleasantly and just trusts that the wandering has purpose and just watches the screen of pictures go by and the mind feels content and accepting.  That is meditation.

    That is healthy.

Sometimes the mind is ill and lost and dementia is evident.

    That is the GOP.

Thank you for your reply Sharon. Sometimes when the world is too much with me I escape to yesterday via old TV reruns. The Andy Griffith Show (we live on Mayberry street you know) or Golden Girls. Old School told me that you enjoy the Law & Order shows. Me too. Once I get into that storyline I'm right there and get a break from our current nightmare reality the storytline of which is too absurd to be believable.
