Is memory a convenience to be utilized as one sees fit or are there certain rules attached to it? The don speaks very highly of some folks until he doesn't then "distances" himself by lying and saying he didn't know the guy or barely knew whom he was and the guy is a liar or a creep or a whatever don thinks of saying . From feast to famine. From GOOD GUY to UNKNOWN to WHAT A BUM! Memory does this to some folks apparently. It is not dependable or credible or sustainable or maintainable. It is like mercury. You can't grab and hold it. It's slippery and slithery and could be very dangerous.
