Have you ever heard of the Huichol culture of Mexico?

I heard of it today, following a famous Chinese artist named Ai Weiwei on Instagram. He posted some photos of the art of these indigenous people from Nayarit, Mexico. Central western Mexico. It is mostly beaded work.

    Wow, Nimitz! They're amazing! I had no idea they existed. I did know that Mexico has a variety of indigenous peoples and the create all kinds of art. Thanks for posting this! Very interesting and helpful! :-)

    Indeed, the Americas are some of the most culturally diverse continents on earth.  Some of putatively Mayan ancestry are purported to have traveled as far as northern Georgia in search of ritual clay. (Google Mayan Blue)
