So would America have been far better off to avoid "foreign entanglements" and been Nationalist Isolationist? Isn't that what the Swiss are?

Has Switzerland ever been involved in any wars? Aren't the Swiss removed aloof apart from the rest of us? They make great chocolate and watches. Beautiful ski resorts. Wondrous and peaceful. I wonder why other countries haven't just marched in to conquer it? No oil? Curious.
