Is it true that a GPS system cannot plot a way to your destination unless it knows your location?

Do you know where you are or are you lost needing guidance to figger it out?

    I know Mapquest wants a starting address and a destination address. I guess you could give it the address of City Hall in your city and that would be close enough. Thank you for your reply m2c and Happy Wednesday to thee! :)

    Mapquest will actually work with just a starting city or zip code ... it will use the city center as the starting point.

    Even without a GPS ... you have to know your starting point, to chart a path to your destination.
