Some people are very good at picking up on hints. Some aren't. Where does that ability or lack thereof to "read the room" come from? Is comprehending things like that a function of degree of intelligence or does it have more to do with the emotional awareness? Have you ever gone to bed and told the folks still there to lock the door on their way out?
