My first thought on "fake climate" is ... terraforming.
Terraforming or terraformation (literally, "Earth-shaping") of a planet, moon, or other body is the hypothetical process of deliberately modifying its atmosphere, temperature, surface topography or ecology to be similar to the environment of Earth to make it habitable by Earth-like life.
Except it wouldn't really be terraforming, since we're altering Terra / Earth itself.
So my next thought is ... if we are changing it to make it less habitable for Earth life, WHO are we making it habitable for? Lizard people? The Greys? Red Lectroids from Planet 10? (extra nerd points, if you don't have to Google the reference)

I have no idea to what you are alluding but it sounds GHASTLY! Lizard people? The Grey's? Red Lectroids from Planet 10? Even if they were blue (my favorite color) f rom Planet 8 (my favorite number) any "oid" I avoid. Factoid steroid devoid humanoid void. I know terra means earth and I prefer being on terra firma to being up in the sky going to other planets and trying make them seem like "home". Just another fake pretend wannabe. Like knockoffs of expensive stuff. Zircons ain't diamonds. I'll just stay here and take what comes while others fly off to parts unknown and adventures. Sigh. I like my home on terra firma.
