The 3-legged stool of the former Republican party usta be FISCALLY CONSERVATIVE/ LAW&ORDER/FAMILY VALUES. What be the trumpican party?

The don of john be number one. Russia be number two. Chaos surrounding the don of john be number three. So far no good.

Actually, the 3 stool legs are social, fiscal, and foreign policy.
(Law and order and family values are both parts of the social conservative leg)

    Trumps would be:
    Social, fiscal,  and foreign policy.

Look, they are the same. The only real difference is President Trump is actually following through with the promises the Reps have used as a voter rallying cry...with no intention of doing anything.
With the exception of trade policy....most establishment R were afraid to challenge our "allies" who were taking out money and our jobs in all the "free trade" deals.

Trump truly intends to secure the border. To bring manufacturing jobs back to the USA. The establishment do not want either one. They want theor cheap illegal labor and cheap imported products. This is why the Koch brothers now support Dems.

If Trump wants to bring manufacturing jobs back to the US, he should set an example and start by bringing his own organization's manufacturing back.  He has no intention of doing that.  He also hires cheap labor (illegals) to work at his golf properties, so he's not going to stop doing that either.  This is a president who says, "Do as I say, not as I do."

And that is why he knows what is needed to change so US companies can compete.

No, they are not illegals. They have permission to come and work here. I do not like that program. But they are not illegals.

So, is what you're saying Trump gets to say what other companies should do, but doesn't set an example with his own companies?  Not much of a leader, then.

The woman who brought Trump's hiring practices at his resorts was an admitted illegal when she started working for him.  She later became a citizen which is why I suspect she decided to come clean.  If they did it with her, they are doing it with others.  There is no way Trump is going to pay an American worker to do those jobs.

I did not say they are citizens...they are not. I do not like the program. A lot of businesses in my town use it. They import workers, if they get fired or quit they have to return to their home country.   But they are not illegals, they are legally in the country. I say again I hate this program, I think it should be abolished...yes even though Trump uses it.

I also think Trump should make his products in the US but as I said the trade laws need fixed so US companies can compete.

The US will not be able to compete because we have a higher standard of living and workers get paid far in excess of what the peons in China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Bangladesh, etc. will earn.

And currency devaluation and tariffs, gov subsidies etc.
We may not be able to fix all of it but we certainly attempt to fix what we can.

We can try, but we can't dictate to other countries, especially those which are run by dictators, how to run their countries.

We have trade agreements....we can indeed dictate somethings. Or we can at least return some of the same things right back to them.

Yes, we have trade agreements, but they need to be re-negotiated diplomatically, not by Trump saying we're going to stick a 25% tariff on imported goods.  Those are the kinds of acts. among other serious blunders, that have caused the stock market to plunge.

Tactics are working. No more NAFTA Germany caved on car tariffs, China also caving saying they are ready to talk.
Trump tried the diplomatic way. Asked that we all remove our tariffs etc and they refused. So this is the next step.

Caving and ready to talk are two different things.  As far as NAFTA 2.0, I hear it isn't really very much different than the original.

They eroded that nonsense decades ago.  They are PRETENDING to be those things, but that has not manifested at all during the W. Bush era.  Clinton held them at bay, but after his MAJOR faux pas, with Lewinski, he all but GAVE that election to Bush.  After that?  The GOP were merely posers who pretended all those values, when actually it was money.  MONEY. MONEY.  To line their pockets.  Money to make sure they stayed in power forever. Now they got what they thought they wanted.  Be careful what you wish for, you greedy, ignorant GOD IS ON MY SIDE BECAUSE I AM RICH, bums.

I hope you rot in hell with your leader.  ROT. IN. HELL.

    Come you masters of war
You that build all the guns
You that build the death planes
You that build all the bombs
    You that hide behind walls
    You that hide behind desks
I just want you to know
I can see through your masks

    You that never done nothin'
    But build to destroy
    You play with my world
    Like it's your little toy
You put a gun in my hand
And you hide from my eyes
And you turn and run farther
    When the fast bullets fly

    Like Judas of old
    You lie and deceive
A world war can be won
    You want me to believe
But I see through your eyes
And I see through your brain
Like I see through the water
    That runs down my drain

    You fasten all the triggers
    For the others to fire
Then you set back and watch
When the death count gets higher
    You hide in your mansion'
    As young people's blood
    Flows out of their bodies
And is buried in the mud

I like the crispy crunchy Cheetos. Haven't had any for years. SIGH. Thank you for your lengthy and informative reply Sharon! :) This post was edited by RosieG at December 26, 2018 7:47 AM MST

I like the traditional soft Cheetos.  But I cannot eat them anymore.  They are processed food.  Alas.  Every time I want one, all I have to think of is the Desperate Cheeto in power, and it throws the desire for Cheetos  completely off.

    UGH.

For me the "three legs" are personal responsibility, hard work, and religious faith.
