    Hello Rosie:

Sure..  There's many shades of gray here, but I'll just mention this one.  There's a difference between somebody who DELIBERATELY kills somebody, and somebody who is simply NEGLIGENT, like a drunk driver.

The drunk driver drank and drove. Why?  That is more than negligence. That is taking a life because you were too stupid to anticipate the potential consequences. Contributory negligence. Getting behind the wheel of a car which is a great weapon (even when sober) but when you're drunk as a skunk it is purposeful excon. I think drunk drivers who kill people are murderers. Why? Because it could be avoided and it was only their actions that caused the death of someone. I see no difference. Tell that to the grieving loved ones. How the  drunk as a skunk driver didn't mean  to do it. How it wasn't premeditated. It WAS premeditated because the potential for killing someone when you are drunk as a skunk and driving is always there. Even an idiot should know that. Sorry. This is an especially sensitive topic to me. Thank you for your reply and Happy Tuesday to thee! :)
