That is such a negative way to live.  I do not live in any past I live in the NOW.  The now encompasses all we are and ever were.  I don't need pictures.  I don't need anything but being here NOW.

The past is a garbled up memory that is just my story of how things were.  Only mine.  The future is not real because it is not even here.  The only thing that matters is NOW.  This is all we ever were and all we ever will be.  PRESENT time.

I treasure my memories and especially during the holidays I recapture them and relive them. Mostly involving people who are no longer in my life whom I dearly loved. It comforts me to do that. I don't live there but I do visit often if briefly. Thank you for your reply Sharon and the graphic. I would not be me without my memories. I think that would frighten and terrify me. WHO AM I? I never want to have to ask that question. This post was edited by RosieG at December 25, 2018 6:03 AM MST

I don't necessarily think my happiest days are in the past, but my life is different than it used to be.  I am happy with who I am and with my life as it is now.  I recall happy memories of days gone by, but don't dwell on the fact that those days are no more.

I think that is a very healthy and rational way to look at life L. I do that too. I mean people whom you loved dearly who are no longer in your life for whatever reason deserve being remembered fondly. At least I think so. Thank you for your thoughtful reply and Happy Monday m'dear! :)

What was cannot be changed; what is should be enjoyed to the fullest; what is to come should be looked at as an opportunity for new memories.
