Popularity is determined by numbers. The greater the better the lesser the worser. Boxoffice take for a movie depends upon the number of dollars people spend to see it. Awards are often based on the number of people who vote for whomever. Academy Awards. Best Sellers. Successful products. Success is measured b y larger numbers. Billionaires are more "successful" financially than millionaires. So how come the lah de dah of the electoral college is defended as "right" by people when it is patently wrong? Why should the least liked win anything and the most liked win nothing?
