When YOU approve of gubment intervention in private lives/businesses you're ALL IN! If ya don't ya aren't? A little hypocritical aren't we?

We DO NOT WANT gubment sticking its very long nose into our private lives UNLESS our politics or religion demands it. Then we do. We are so wantonly promiscuous. So easy. So cheap to buy off. So easy to own lock stock and barrel. Were we always that cheap or did we become so due to.....? What exactly? When precisely? and WHY?
