While it's true art lives forever many of things human beings create have a relatively short shelf life. Planned obsolescence?

Ever enjoy having a refrigerator that lasted 81 years or a car that lasted 83 years? Humans survive longer than that all the time. If they created things with a very long shelf life they'd make less money and who is crazy enough to do that? So whatever you buy that is electric electronic mechanical you KNOW you will have to replace it by and by.  And so it goes.
