The Republicans will also claim he "steals" votes, as an Independent.  (shades of Perot)

At least he is a true American success story.
Going from poor (living in NYC Housing Authority) to wealth ... as well as the first person in his family to go to college.

That is awesome Walt! Thank you so very much for telling me that! In that case he is a real person who knows what it's like to worry about not being able to pay your bills. He is a welcome billionaire as far as I'm concerned but I do worry if he were to run he would siphon off enough votes from the Dems to hand the job to the Republicans. Rumors aer that puppet boy won't run again.Pence? Romney? Kasich?  I wonder who'd have the best chance winning on the non-Dem side? Your thoughts on that? Thank you for your helpful answer. I did not do any investigating of the guy and so I mistakenly thought he was just another cookie-cutter billionaire! Glad to be wrong!:)

I haven't heard much about his candidacy ... just looked him up because they mentioned him this morning on NPR.
He had a good line.  Something about wanting to hear good ideas from everybody, and that's why he's not tying himself to any party.
