The window of the mind begins to close due to disease or age. How long does it take to close completely? Averagely?

Is the affected person aware of the stages of closure? Is fear involved in there somewhere?

  • If many of the negative replies on your posts are any indication, I'd say since last year around October or so when I joined and first noticed them. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at February 1, 2019 11:19 AM MST

Oh sweetie I DO NOT READ THEM. I know whom I can trust to be civil and those who show up just to be jerks. I avoid all jerks! I just ignore them. I never read their posts and I simply delete them. I'd really like you to get to know which ones they are and ignore them too. I have a dear friend on Answermug who was on the verge of leaving Answermug because she kept defending me to them /him/it and it finally got to be too much! The sad thing is I NEVER KNEW ABOUT ANY OF IT! She suffered on my account and I didn't have a clue. I guess one of the jerks who was most guilty of being a jerk did apologize to her and backed off. I dunno. That's what she told me. But please don't ever get offended on my account. It's not fair to you. You seem to be very astute so you probably already know them by their monikers lavender. I would not want you to be upset in any way because I never am. I don't give them the chance to get at me. SIGH. Thank you for your reply m'dear and Happy Friday!  :) I'm kinda like a candy store. Some things you like some you don't. The intelligent folks "buy" what they like and ignore the rest. The jerks always focus on what they don't like. FYI! :) (9hugs)) This post was edited by RosieG at February 1, 2019 11:19 AM MST

  • Aw, good attitude, Rosie.   You can't change them, and they certainly don't define who you are, so I am glad that you aren't bothered by them.  Happy Friday to you as well, and Have a good weekend!

I've been doing this since February 2005 m'dear. Early on I was so very naive. I'd engage mano a mano and face-to-face trying to figger out why some folks became so incensed at the questions I asked. I answered every response all the time. I felt it was an obligation. See how I used to be? Then FINALLY it dawned on me that they only ever showed up JUST TO ATTACK. I would never hear from them otherwise. They NEVER showed up to chat or converse or edify or educate. I got wise. So my only obligation is to TRY to be civil and tell the truth and TRY not to be mean or cruel. But where the gaslighting commander-in-chief is concerned "everything is on the table" as  he is wont to say his very own self. He HAS TO BE CALLED OUT ON EVERYTHING EVERY TIME. So I do. I KNOW I'm not everyone's cuppa tea. I have never tried to be anything but me. I owe that to everyone I encounter wherever I am. You like? Great? You no like? Great! Just ignore me! It's such a simple thing to do..nothing at all. Why they don't I have no clue but it's not my problem. Thank you for your thoughtful reply lavender. Wonder what the gaslighter-in-chief has planned for us today? Sheesh! SIGH.  :(

  • Everyday I wake up hoping that Prez  Dump slept walked off the roof of a very high building.

I kinda sorta do that too though not as specifically as you do! I wonder what the gaslighter-in-chief will do/say today that will make my day and make this day be his last day in office! Well I guess that's specific enough! Thank you for your reply lavender and Happy Monday! :)

  • Haha we can dream.  Happy Monday to you as well.   Let's hope the Diaper in Chief wakes up with a permanent muzzle at the very least.
