I do most of my shopping on line.  I don't enjoy the "shopping in person" experience.

I'm the exact opposite L. I am a "hands-on" shopper for everything. I never buy anything online. Now for shut-ins or those who are otherwise physically unable to go out I think buying online is definitely a blessing. Having what you need be delivered right to your door is a great comfort. Maybe one day I will have to do that but until then no way! It would be for me like buying blind. Different strokes! Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :) ((hugs))

Last weekend, I went shopping with my youngest sister - a clothes and shoe devotee.  Half an hour in, I wanted to run out of the store screaming.

I NEVER GO SHOPPING WITH ANYONE! RULE NUMBER ONE. NEVER. Now food shopping I go with Jim. I usually give him some "honey do" assignments and it's also nice to have him there in the store in case I want his opinion on something.  OTHERWISE I GO ALONE! I learned that many decades ago. I don't care how much I love friends and family. They drive me nuts when we went shopping together! Thank you for your reply L! :)

We started out for her to pick up something she ordered and then we were going to the yarn store so I could buy some yarn.  Once we were in the store, she asked if I would mind if she looked for a sweater.  Naturally, I agreed.  That led to looking for the sweater and her choosing two pair of pants and, of course, she had to try it all on.  She bought nothing, so on to the yarn store - or so I thought.  On the way out, we passed Old Navy.  "Do you mind if I take a quick look in here. everything is on sale?"  "Of course not," said I.  By the time she finished there, I had no interest in going to the yarn store and my back was killing me so we went home.  I should have known better and we should have started out at the yarn store!

That's why I gave up on it my friend. My mom was THE WORST! She'd spend hours going from store to store trying on clothing. I went with her and sat and waited. Hours later she'd go back to the earlier stores and buy. Not once but often. That was her pattern. Drove me berserk so I just stopped. I travel alone tol shop. It goes best and fast and then I'm home. I don't look at shopping as a fun thing (unless it's food shopping). I look at shopping as an ORDEAL to be done as fast possible. Not a social occasion for girlfriends to spend time on. Not my cuppa tea. Thank you for your reply L! :)

Fortunately, my mom wasn't like that.  She knew what she was looking for, went to that area, bought it and we left.  Only if she couldn't find the item would we go somewhere else.  I prefer to shop alone, too.  Happy Monday. :)

  • The "shopping in person experience".  That's a good way of putting it. I don't enjoy that either.

I can't recall the last time I went shopping just to have something to do.

  • Very seldom do I need to go into any stores. I do the bulk of my shopping online, because I can't stand long lines and idiots. haha.    If I do go into stores, it will always only be stores that I like or need something from.   I don't badmouth them, because it's not the worker's fault.  If I detest a store that badly, I just wouldn't bother going in, or I'd order whatever the item is from their website or Amazon instead.

I hate going shopping as a rule.  I don't have the time for it.  And I certainly am not wasting time going to stores I don't like.  Who does that?
