  • I have no clue, but that might be why I love it so much.

I tasted it once in something and really liked it. So I was gonna buy it. But I always read ingredients lists and every Chorizo brand includes salivary glands which turns me off bigly. I just wonder what their purpose is? Thank you for your reply lavender. So you KNOW what's in it and you still can eat? You are a very study woman sweetie! Not me. Thank you for your reply!  :)

  • I don't eat it more than maybe once a year, it's not a regular item in my diet, but I do love it.  I don't care for most processed foods in general, but every so often I do enjoy Chorizo and Linguica (Portuguese sausage). This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at February 15, 2019 11:40 AM MST

Do you like them both equally lavender? We got hooked on Andouille Sausage years ago when we used to watch Emeril Legasse. He used it all the time and loved it. It doesn't have salivary glands in it. I guess I just can't get over the ingredients. Thank you for your reply m'dear! :) This post was edited by RosieG at February 16, 2019 4:33 AM MST

  • I prefer Linguica over Chorizo, because I grew up on that (My uncle and cousins are Portuguese).  :)   Hope you have a good day.  I cannot wait until this rain just stops.  I hope your weather down there is better than it is up here today.

Right now it's raining! The 8-day forecast shows BIG RAIN for Sunday, Thursday and Saturday. We're doing fine because of our geographical location. Flat ground. Away from mountains. No bodies of water nearby to overflow. But it sure is getting way wetter and lasting way longer than I can ever remember. So glad we are retired and except for doctor appointments we do not have to venture out if we don't feel like it! Good luck for today's weather in your neck of the woods. We have relatives who live in Northern Nevada where it SNOWED several times already! Do you ever get any snow? Of course it snows in Mammoth I know. Happy Saturday lavender!  :)

  • Yikes, sorry for all of your rain. I know California needs/needed it, but we have been getting too much at once.   We don't get the snow here.  We are about 25-30 minutes from Napa, and only 134 feet in elevation - too low for snow. Mt Vaca, I believe got dumped though, and so did Mt Tam in San Fran.      There has been local flooding, but nothing at all as major as the Guadalupe River in San Jose.   The hills driving along I-80 though are absolutely amazing.  Just blanketed with bright green grass. Sad that all of that will turn ugly brown again in a few months, but for now I am loving it.    No rain again until perhaps over night and then again next week.  Good luck with your weather down there.   Yes, it's great for all of us who are retired and don't have to drive in it.  I saw pictures of Friday night's commute through the Santa Cruz Mountains on 17, and it was insane.     Happy Saturday to you as well, Rosie. Enjoy your day.

Thanks for the current update from northern California lavender!  Hopefully our state from north to south will survive whatever the heck "CLIMATE CHANGE/GLOBAL WARMING" has in store for us . Sheesh! We shall overcome! Right? :)

I used to eat animals, and I'll admit that I thought that eating certain of their body parts were more disgusting than others. I don't really see the difference now.

Isn't all sausage made from other unused parts, same as hot dogs?

Hi there m'dear! I'm not sure how sausage is made. I read the ingredients   and if they don't gross me out I buy and try! Thank you for your reply SA and Happy Saturday! :)
