You are surprised, dismayed, disappointed. Does it affect you negatively for a long time or do you just shrug it off and move on?

I personally think it's much healthier to shrug quickly and move forward. You cannot control how others are, what they or do. You can only control you and your reaction is entirely in your hands. Do you dwell where pain surrounds you or get the heck out of there?
