The attic door pull-down stairs thing. I went up to change the AC filter today. That's the only time I go up there.

Mine would be a very nice space for storage but the Einstein who built the place put the HVAC horizontally at the top of the stairs.....I mean you can't step up to the attic floor level because the HVAC is there. To get into the attic I have to climb over the HVAC or over the handrails for the stairs. I mean the attic is floored. I would be great clean storage. I'm going to have to get a new HVAC soon because the outside part is almost 40 years old. The inside piece in the attic is 15 years old. It uses the old cooling gas so when it stops the whole thing will be replaced. I talked to my HVAC guy about getting it away from the top of the stairs when he has to replace. He said he hopes he's retired by then; he' only 37.

Haha oh oh.....guess he’ll have to get back up there, sounds like a pain. I believe you said you live in Florida before, I say true none of the homes there have basements? Guess would be a pain not having attic for storage if have no basement. :/
No basement here in in the southern part of the state. Up in the northern part where there are some rolling hills, one finds basements in homes....well, at least half a basement.
