When you protect the rights of a murderer what happens to the rights of the victim?

 If you submit your DNA to a genealogical society why should you give permission for how it is used? Say you murdered someone years ago.  Why should the cops provide a WARRANT to the holder of it (the society) to obtain it? If you are innocent what harm is done. If you are guilty why shouldn't you be caught? I don't get it.

    It is called due process and we are all entitled to it under the constitution.
