I thought there was such a thing as Doctor/Patient confidentiality. According to Trump's gastroenterologist, he says he knows something about Hillary's health issues and they're not good. SAY WHAT?

How would he know that? Or is he a liar too? He was filmed being interviewed about the letter he wrote stating how extraordinarily excellent Trump's health is. No details at all. He said Trump will be the healthiest president in history. How can he know that? Another lie? He addressed the letter  as follows

To Whom It My Concern

Now one wonders WHY Trump has had a  gastroenterologist for 35 years? Stomach problems? Acid reflux? Indigestion. GERD? Doesn't he have a GP? How sturdy/healthy is his heart/brain/blood/sanity? What does a gastroenterologist know about anything but the gut? Strange isn't it?

    My answer apparently went poof.

Yes. There IS such a thing as Doctor/patient confidentiality and it's called HIPAA. There are some stiff fines and depending on the severity of the violation it could be upwards of $1.5 million.

Then that doctor is in a world of trouble. So you believe the gastroenterologist when he says that he actually knows anything about Hillary health? Why would you believe anything he says since everyone  Tr ump-related lies constantly?  You can't be that naive and ingenuous or trusting. Thank you for your reply BSurf and Happy Saturday! :)

I am pretty sure that if he were on my side of the pond, he would be struck off the medical register.
Incidentally, if he was, he could still work in private practice, just not for the NHS.

There is..if that's true that doctor will be in big trouble.

There was a certain hospital department I worked in and I couldn't even state the department name when answering the phone. The appt card just had the hospital phone number and it didn't state the department either..there was also no answering machine either.

Some of the younger patients parents would find this appt card and they would ring asking what the department is called.. obviously I couldn't say.. they would then proceed to tell me to f-off lol.. and then I would say I am ending the phone call now because I wont tolerate being spoke to In that way and you're blocking a emergency line. Ha...

That's how strict patient confidently is...admittedly I did work in the most Highly confidential department of medicine but the basics still apply.

I think the guy is a nutjob. I don't know if you have seen his interview but he seems very spaced out and incompetent. Like everyone else associated with Donald J. Trump. Not quite all there. Thank you for your reply HarryD! :)

I have never heard of such a thing as that cherry. Being unable to state the department you work in? Wow. Was it the Leprosy Department or Sexual Deviates department? I'm not asking you to divulge anything my friend but how would someone know he/she reached the correct department if it could not be identified? Thank you for your thoughtful and informative answer. I just learned something I never knew. That there are things in medicine one can never call by name. Who knew?  :)

  • Things to remember when stupid things are said in public.

1/.  The IQ or understanding of the speaker may be limited (unlikely in this case, although other mental aberrations may of course exist).

2/.  The IQ or understanding of the audience may be limited to confirmation of already held beliefs.  Hey presto.

  • All government departments take individual information very seriously Harry.  I knew a person who was sacked from the Revenue for looking at records of individuals he had no business looking at.  Not releasing, just looking.

The general attitude among staff when this happens is (or was), 'Silly sod.'

Did you perchance see that interview MrWitch? I'm not sure how much coverage it got across the pond. The guy seems very  creepy/inept/incompetent to me. Nothing professional about him nor did he sound remotely intelligent. Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :)
