How are programmers and other social media people using bots to influence polls or other data collecting industries?

I noticed there are many on Twitter. They have the same messages. Some are for business but some are not. So I want to know what ways bots are being used----if you know. Also why they do what they do?

  • Bots should be illegal. As the line between artificial intelligence and real intelligence, gets blurred, it will be more and more difficult to tell who we are interacting with. Think about dating sites, political sites with the.ability to impress the people, medical sites, Answer Mug.

  • It's all about the socks... propaganda, attacks, and perception that there are more people who support positions than really do as well as cloaking their identity as paid lobbyists, trolls, special interest groups, and Super PACs to sway votes by flooding social media with their BS.

Trump and his alt-right ilk filth as well as Hillary and her foul proxy war against Bernie Sanders with the infamous (CTR) or 'Correct The Record' group are prime examples.
