I mean during the "before" rich white men ruled. Women were afterthoughts and could not own property or vote or maybe even get a divorce. During the "before" people owned slaves who were considered to be 3/5 of a person. Now how that came about I have no idea. Why not 4/5 or 1/2 or 1/3? At any rate going back to "before" occupies their entire being. They RESENT the way uppity folks have sought rights and won them. They RESENT not being able to control the way people choose to live, whom they choose to love, what they choose to enjoy. Not at all. They want to be the sole arbiters of all of that!
