Are you easily manipulated by marketing ploys that "reward" you for buying their products, using their services, etc.?

One of the food stores that I shop at wants to "reward" me for shopping with them.  I'm not sure if I'm "buying" that.

  • Yeah, I have at least 10 reward cards in my wallet for various places. I like rewards.

  • I'm not used to rewards but I wouldn't hesitate to use them!  Especially when it's free.

Then you are being manipulated.  Nothing is "free".

  • I am being manipulated!  I just pick and choose my moments.

I hate the concept. Especially with credit cards. It's like: "Here, boy, here boy...here's your $4 for spending $100. Good boy.".

  • I hear ya!They sucker you in and then you end up paying some fee for something that you forgot about.  Pretty tricky of them, huh?

No never.  That seems so shallow and obvious.

No, though I have a Co-Op card, and I think one from Screwfix.

The more they try it the more I resist. I don't like supermarkets and refuse to have a so-called "loyalty card". I do my best not to fall for any of their tricks.
