    The judge ruled the case could continue.

  • Why not sue Ford Motor Co., General Motors and Chrysler Corp over the fact that people die in auto wrecks? Let's go one step farther and take legal action against Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, Budweiser, et al, because people drive the aforementioned vehicles under the influence? Why stop there? Let's close down pharmacy chains because people overdose on drugs. Or my favorite, sue the manufacturers of shoes because people will step into the path of a moving vehicle. Shocked? Hardly, nothing's shocking anymore.

    Nice try.

    Sometimes, when it is proven that these companies have caused particular mayhem, THEY WOULD BE SUED.  If Jack Daniels advertised how great alcohol is and how it represents the American way of life and American freedoms?  They would get hit with a ton of replies.  Cigarette manufacturers have been decimated for this reason.  So, if the shoe fits?  FINE.  SUE.  Sue their butts raw.

    And car manufacturers that focus on FAST cars, may wind up with the same problems.  It depends on what is being represented here.
