Any of you ever visit the Arche de Triomphe in Paris? There are 660 names listed there..4 pillars.. many of those listed were Generals. So?

If you have not seen it you can Google it and get the idea by the information listed there. You can click on each of the 660 names and get a thumbnail sketch of that person's life. 

 Gives me goosebumps. When my kid was there on 9/11 (yeah..he got stuck there) he had time to walk around. Flights were grounded. He found his surname on the Souhern Column. Whether it is a relative or not we have no way of knowing. But imagine seeing YOUR surname engraved on a monument to an historic battle? Or have you?
