I don't know what y'all pay to watch your favorite teams play or favorite celebrities entertain but y'all are NUTS! Wanna know why?

What does an athlete or entertainer contribute to the quality of life that is permanent substantive and singular? So you laugh and cheer and get all excited-like  cuz your team wins or your celebrity crush smiles at you? That's it? Now some of them to be fair have charitable foundations and use the ridiculous amount of money they get paid to give back. I will give you that.  But not all of them. This sports contract will be the biggest one in North American sports history. Which means probably some south american soccer players have gotten more? Sheesh!

Your willingness to pay THROUGH THE NOSE to watch them cavort oerform is exactly why these folks receive the enormous amounts of money they do.

Already they're( the deep dark insidious state) figuring out how to top it just to get the publicity. And the beat goes on.

    I don't see what is wrong with laughing and cheering and getting excited or receiving smiles if that is what we enjoy.  Why can't we watch what we love and that makes us feel good?  Best therapy for all the bummers in life.  I don't care about sports but I love entertainment - music, art, drama - that is profound and makes me feel good or makes me think.  For those reason or for its beauty.  The way I look at it God has given us those things to hep us feel better in life so we can be better people.  All of those can positively have an effect on the quality of our life.

    GOD has given a conscience. GOD gave us a heart. GOD gave us intelligence. How do you think HE would like us to use it? For our own pleasure and delight or on behalf of others in need of help? Thank you for your reply og.

    So you don't believe that God wants us to experience delight and pleasure?   The Bible teaches me that that I must help others especially those less fortunate than I am or have been. That is how we worship God. But nothing about doing that to the exclusion of pleasure or delight.  Through appreciation and enjoyment of God's creation we also worship God.  I imagine that if all I did was to help others 24/7 I would be pretty burned out or even dead by now.  We need to have room for enjoyment and appreciation and pleasure as well or we are not whole.  To say nothing of working support ourselves as well as to make ourselves able to help others.
