Actor Jessie Smollett said he was a victim of a hate crime. Then he was arrested for faking it. Today all charges have been dropped. WHAT?

No plea deal made. No community service required. Record will be wiped clean.

So what does this all mean? Anyone?

He's got money.  Those who have money rarely pay for their crimes...and the few who do nearly always get reduced sentences.  Money lets you get away with nearly everything.

Here's the topper Shuhak. Don't know if you caught the Chicago mayor and police chief being interviewed but they are OUTRAGED! They insist all the evidence they had didn't change or go away. They made a big deal out of all of this and called it a "whitewash". Money buys  clean slate? If Smollet didn't do anything wrong why did the Police Chief and Mayor call a news conference to refute the claim that Smollett was set up? Expunging all of this from his record as if it never happened. Where is the truth here? Who are the bad guys. What's going on? I wonder if we will ever get to the truth or if it just will fade away? Thank you for your reply and Happy Wednesday! :) This post was edited by RosieG at March 27, 2019 9:09 AM MDT
