Repent and change.  Maybe they can learn a lesson.  And I will add, it is a lesson they would not have learned ever if they were not CAUGHT red-handed.  They have to include that important truth in their repentance.

Felicity's reputation is shot to he**! I don't know if her husband was complicit in it or knew nothing about it but I read that their marriage is not doing well. As for Lori Loughlin! She and her wealthy hubby paid $500,000 to get a daughter into a bogus sports program at USC. All lies. Now Lori has two daughters who attend. I don't know if one daughter made it on her own or was also "facilitated" in. Lori's reputation is shot to he**. I read that her daughter Olivia won't talk to her. But her daughter Olivia HAD TO KNOW how she snuck in. So she must be angry that Lori was caught? I don't know. I think ALL the kids knew. Not one of them said they wanted to do it on their own. Worse the parents had no confidence in their children's ability, What does that say to the kids? Nothing good. Thank you for your reply Sharon.

I know what they did.  It reeks of entitlement and a life of entitlement and no clue that they care abut doing this. THEY ARE ENTITLED.

They are completely without any social conscience.  BUT, if they wish to change, they need to really dig in and do something that to them would be like walking naked down the streets of Los Angeles.

They won't do it.  BUT... if they did? They would have to come clean, go on TV and the media and admit what they did and tell what they are now going to to do change.

They might start by doing a circuit speaking account of what they did and why it was WRONG and how it ruined their lives and how they know that they were SO WRONG.

They might start with that but they won't.  THEY WILL HIRE A PUBLICITY AGENT TO MAKE IT ACCEPTABLE.

I would be stunned shocked amazed gobstomped if any of them do anything remotely like that Sharon. They'll do what they have to do to get through it and then just go back to their privileged lives having learned nothing and changing nothing about their attitudes. One of her co-stars from Full House, Candace Cameron Bure, supports her, sticks by her! What does that say to HER children? That cheating is okay if it's friends who do it? I don't get it. The day that any of them go on camera and say MEA CULPA will be an historic day. Thank you for your reply. What I wonder is how many kids have gotten into elite colleges this way and how many did it the old fashioned way? SIGH.

Read my last sentence.  They will try to hire someone to make them look good.  They have money and they are entitled.  Sound like someone working as leader of the country?  They are above the law.  After all, Rosie, look how HARD they had to work to buy that fake degree?

If you were a publicity agent how the he** would you approach that? Seriously? Of course if the audience is like the Dondon audience they already don't mind, have forgiven or better yet don't think what they did was wrong! So it could be easy easy peasy peasy. What is money for if you can't buy your way back from the brink of all your criminal activities? Redemption is not on the table. I bet they do not think they did anything wrong. After all it was for their kids and parents will do anything for their kids, right? So maybe a very talented spin artist(LIAR) will make them seem noble and loving! I can hardly wait. Thank you for your reply. This post was edited by RosieG at April 4, 2019 2:34 AM MDT

I have NO idea.  BUT... if the price is right?  They could buy anyone who can be bought.  Now, you may think this is ridiculous and so would I but consider.....

Look what TRUMP does.   Morons still love him and many "slightly confused" people love him.  STILL.

If he can pull that off?  This is small potatoes.

Precisely! Money mitigates ameliorates propagates. It is a balm that many seek some have and most would do anything to get. Them that has gits. Them that don't won't. I don't know whom I would be if I were monied. Born to wealth. Never had a day's worry about paying bills. Just buy my way through life without any cause to evaluate whether or not what I'm doing is ethical. I wonder if being ethical is for poor people Sharon? I'm going to ask. What could it hurt? Here goes!

I understand at least one of the kids involved in the fraud (can't remember who) dropped out.

Funny, how nobody is talking about the responsibility of any high school.
Isn't that where they took the test?
I know when I was in high school, you showed up for the test ... they checked your ID, and that you didn't have any prohibited materials such as a programmable calculator (we didn't have cell phones back then).
I know private schools in my area did the same.
I don't know how home-schooled students are tested.

What we don't know yet, or at least I don't, is how many people at how many levels were involved in it Walt? The guy who had the business said something about making $25 million with this scam and that he personally took care of 761 families! Now how many others out there run the same kind of business? I would think all of the kids would be expelled or leave from the humiliation of being caught! They would be pariahs on campus and I cannot see any university allowing any of them to stay. Also previous "graduates" with fraudulent degrees should be stripped of them in my opinion. This didn't just happen Walt. Apparently it's been going on for years. Maybe decades. Maybe it has always been like this and we just didn't know about. It is extremely disturbing disgusting disappointing. I bet none of them are regretful of doing it. Only regretful of being caught. And so it goes. The beat goes on. The privileged will continue buying their way FRAUDULENTLY through life and the facilitators/enablers won't give a rat's a** as long as they get paid for their part in it.  SIGH..

I've been wondering ... are all the families "new rich", who don't understand that they are supposed to give money to the colleges to build libraries/labs/etc in their name - and get their kids in that way?

I bet the scheme was reported by some "old money" family, who was upset that the "new rich" weren't following set tradition.
    LOL

Nouve Riche?  Could be. I mean we are certainly all used to the LEGACY kids. Daddy gives money for a building on campus with his name on it and the kids are automatically guaranteed entry into the University. I get that. That's what they all do. Out in the open. But this?  Getting other people to take tests. CHANGING GRADES in the computer? FAKING PHOTOS of their kids involved in sports activities by  photoshopping their kids faces on the bodies of actual athletes? Some guy paid over a million  bucks to get his daughter into Yale. She got kicked out. I guess the Nouveau Riche are cheapskates and wanted to get the GUARANTEE at a discounted price. Thank you for your reply Walt and Happy Thursday. Of course the real rotten tragedy is those inept kids who had to have their way greased because they weren't good enough took the slots of kids who were good enough! How many of THOSE kids got screwed over all these years? Outrageous people. Outrageous deceit. Insufferable jacka**es the lot of them. There never can be restitution for those who were prevented from getting into some universities. They were punished for no reason. They did nothing wrong. The rich are different from thee and me. For sure. :( This post was edited by RosieG at April 4, 2019 7:27 AM MDT
