If Reincarnation is true and not having to come back again is the goal does each lifetime get shorter as we get nearer to perfection?

Which would mean when children die they have reached perfection and do not have to endure any more lifetimes? That would explain what seems to be unendurable. Children are nearer perfection than adults. I dunno. Just a thought.
