Ever play 3-dimensional chess? Does it exist in the real world or only in the fantasy of Star Trek?
I think chess as-is is tough enough to play well. What kind of extra complication would adding more dimensions cause? I expect Spock would have no problem with it but he was a Vulcan not a homo sap.
