Some questions can be a little vague and cryptic, which can be very effective at provoking plenty of vigorous discussion. But sometimes they end up rolling off into personal accusations - some of which are so mistaken they're just plain incorrect.
Sometimes people play devil's advocate and present the question in such a way as to draw out the thinking of people they may disagree with - perhaps to better understand that thinking, or maybe just being slightly trolly, a little mischievous.
Sometimes we read things between the lines that are not there at all, assuming we know the questioner's mind when we don't.
