The first time I ever had chicken-fried steak and hush puppies was in Tulsa Oklahoma where I'd travel twice a year to audit one of our suppliers. The first time was the best. Why is the first time always the best? Same thing happened in Honolulu when we had Coconut Shrimp for the first time. Never again as good. Peculiar.
