There would be no people left (since governments are people as well, they too would be gone).  We all pretend to be something that we aren't.  Men act brave and macho... even though they may be afraid on the inside.  Women wear makeup and creams to make themselves appear younger.  We all lie to cover up something we don't want others to know (some lie more than others).

No government is 100% "real", "genuine" or  "sincere".   Governments represent power, and the lure of power not only draws corrupt people to itself, but it has a way of corrupting good people.  If the governments were 100% up front all the time, those in it would lose their power (the citizens would expel them).

So  we are all in a land of pretense. Nothing real and substantive. Some realities are far more evil and corrupt than others but none of them are 100% genuine. Sad ain't it? All these hundreds of thousands of years since homo saps have been here and we aren't up to snuff. We don't do "THE RIGHT THING". We're greedy and lazy and uncaring. Not all of us but enough of us to matter bigly. Thank you for your reply Shuhak! :)
