Jim always saves the lives of crickets and spiders. We capture them with a piece of cardboard and a glass tumbler and then Jim takes it outside to the front yard or back and releases it Roaches we squish. But years ago we'd see them from time to time. They have apparently disappeared along with ants which we also haven't seen around for years. A fly is a very rare thing as well. Insect/bugs are dying off. Thank you for your reply Walt! :) We have some very cute skinks living in our backyard. We used to have a cat...our beloved Tigger. So we didn't see skinks around. But this year we have a few and we treasure watching them. They are so darn cute! :)

I know flies don't live very long ... but it always seems I have 2 flies every summer. And they get BIG. Then when they disappear, I notice a HUGE spider prowling around.
I guess a fly is food for spiders. They get caught in spider webs and are trapped. Didja ever see the movie CHARLOTTE'S WEB Walt? Julia Roberts voiced Charlotte and I fell in love with her. She was so wise and loving. I don't fear spiders at all any more. Getting serious here though it seems a million species are on the verge of extinction due to humans. Of course the "global warming is a hoax" gang thing that's a bunch of bullpuckey. You know what? I don't know why that is. I'm gonna ask. Thank you for your reply kiddoo! :)
