    I am in constant contact with my sister, who lives right near the gulf coast (about 300 yards away) directly in the path of the storm. They have battened down the hatches and will ride it out. The don't have a flooding problem as the water drains immediately away. Storm surge could be a problem, though.

    I am high and dry at 57 degrees North latitude.  That's the same as Juno Alaska.

     I shall keep my fingers crossed for her Ele. 300 yards away isn't that far so do you know how long before the danger will be over? Very scary. Thank you for your reply. Sometimes the storms do sudden turns and go back out to sea. Does land mass attract them for some reason? Happy Friday m'dear! :)
