Heck, the Anarchist's Cookbook came out in ... 1960s?  1970s?
Anyway, before the widespread use of home computers, let alone the internet.

You can get "outdated" chemistry books from library book sales, and figure out how to create explosives.
You can even purchase gunpowder and cannon fuse, without a background check.

At least with the internet, there's a higher chance to trace someone's information searching.
Unlike if they just went to the library, and didn't actually check out the books they were getting information from.

What an EXCELLENT point Walt. I hadn't thought of that. Some of them are such dumb a**es they brag about what they are going to do and spend months maligning badmouthing threatening insulting . They are not the sharpest knives in the drawer...probably the dullest. Thank you for your thoughtful reply m'dear! :)
