Politics is a great evener outer/leveler. It makes all its participants equal. They all lie. They all pander. No matter what label they wear there is virtually no difference among 'em. That's the problem. Therein lies the agony for we the people. There are no heroes or angels or protectors. They service their own needs and the needs of the powerful and we the people keep hoping/pretending that we matter to them. We don't. We never did. We never will. Those rare pols who do care are beaten down and bounced out because they make the rest of them look so bad. Don't they?
