You have ten figurative fires occurring simultaneously. In what order do you put them out? All of them or just some?

I was taught to put them out in order of importance, not necessarily by size.  (management 101)

Some fires will escalate, while others will simply smolder.  Some fires need only be contained.  Then they can be extinguished as time permits.  Knowing the type of fire takes more wisdom than putting it out.
Just because someone else thinks a certain fire is of greater importance doesn't mean it actually is.  Some fires may appear to be big and therefore important, when in actuality they are nothing more than a firefly in a damp room.

"Order of importance". That takes good judgment and knowledge and discernment Shuhak. Some have it and some lack it. Can you learn to have good judgment I wonder or is it something you're born with or not? Now I stipulated "figurative". How many fires do we the people in the USofA have currently in progress? Which is the most important one to extinguish FIRST in your opinion? Thank you for your reply and Happy Tuesday! :)

I believe it's something one learns.  However, one has to want to learn it.  It won't just "happen".

While I understand your question, the answer isn't "set".  Every person has different fires in their lives.  Even as a whole (country), our fires are not the same.  Some see the prez as a fire, while others see him as "benefactor".  Some see healthcare as a raging fire, others see it as only a candle.  While most see equality (race, gende) as a fire, some see it as unquenchable (so why bother), others see it as an inferno that must be carefully capped (like an oil well fire), and a few see it as a "cleansing" fire (like the ones they intentionally set in forests to clear out the deadwood and underbrush).

The biggests fires to extinguish are the ones that keep us apart.  None of us can fight fires alone.  It has to be a united effort.  Our bickering over the petty (race, party, gender, etc.) only serves to ignite more fires as well as spread the ones we already have.
