Do compliments make you feel uncomfortable? Do you think folks want something from you when they compliment? Do you prefer pay to praise?

Are you stingy or generous with compliments. Are they meant sincerely or do you use them as a ruse to get what you want from people? Do you like to be complimented or ignored?

  • Compliments making me feel uncomfortable? Yes. Do I think folks want something in return? Maybe. Preference of pay to praise? Neither. It's best to be ignored. That way you won't start believing your own press, as they say in public life.

I do not like compliments.  They make me feel very uncomfortable.  Yet at the same time, I do like to be acknowledged for what I do.

I feel that most compliments are insincere.  They're only said to "be polite" or to flatter.  I despise insincerity!!!!!!!  Thusly, I'm VERY stingy with compliments.

I am nor overly complimentary and only give one when it's truly due.  I don't like false compliments as I'm inclined to view them as flattery in order to get something.
